So, no thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pekeana, I have a new addiction. I sure hope it's worth it. Take a look at the scent oils that BPAL offers. They sound amazing. They've also got a huge following so I hope that I won't be disappointed.

Anyway, they offer limited editions of scents, sometimes for one day only, and the one they offered Tuesday pushed me over the edge. I made my first order of Storm Moon, along with imps (samples) of Yggdrasil, Coyote, Tintagel, Aureus, Dublin,  and Xiuhtecuhtli. Great names, eh? You should go to the site and search for the descriptions. I'm too lazy to do that here.

And today, I won an ebay auction for another LE scent, Snow White (which I hope smells something like the Glade Glistening Snow plugin, lol) and 10 more imps: Three Witches, Old Madrid, Old London, Midnight, Nephilim, Mystery, Ouija, Black Dahlia, Magdalene, and Luna. I've also decided that I'm not too fond of auctions because I can't stand the suspense there at the end. Luckily no one outbid me at the end of the auction, but man, my heart was pounding! Silly.

So yeah. I've spent alot of money on scents in the last few days. Hopefully none are too overpowering, and I know that if I don't like them I'll probably be able to sell them or swap them easily. Yay.

ETA:
In other news, if the post after this offends, I deeply regret it. I woke up and saw the news that it was Holocaust Remembrace Day, then put it out of my mind until someone brought up the Rabbit Hole Day bit. I didn't know this day had been set aside to remember the Holocaust, so I'm not trying to be offensive. Just have a bit of fun. I will always remember to think about what happened, and hope it can never happen again, but on the whole I like to be optimistic and think of the good things. I hope you all feel the same. ...thus ends lame apology.

Pronounce "Xiuhtecuhtli" for me? ;) I don't wear much in the way of perfume, but some of those descriptions sound really pretty :)

heh. I had to ask about that too...[livejournal.com profile] pekeana told me it was one of her favorite scents, and I was like...how do you say that? So the answer from the BPAL forums (because I put it out of my mind):

XIUHTECUHTLI -- she wa te KWA tle

Like Xihuatanejo, the place the characters end up at the end of the Shawshank Redemption. Also spelled Zihuatanejo. Said see wah tah NAY ho. Gotta love the crazy mexicans.

Oh my dear Bloom don't tempt me. *is envious of your collection* but my poor baby car wouldn't like me. It has issues with drives of longer than a half-hour. But then again it also has somewhere upwards of 130,000 miles on it, so I suppose it's got cause for issues.

*smells good today* I'm wearing an oil I got from the KC renfest: Carnivale. It's apple-y goodness. I told you about it, I think. Yay for green perfumes ;)

Indeed. That does look good. You're such an enabler. I'm going to have to make a page like http://meatboot.org/bpal/ for a wishlist. sheesh. as if I didn't already spend money on my book/cd/dvd addictions, now the scent addiction...can you imagine living near one of the stores?
