Currently available lines of human embryonic stem cells have been contaminated with a non-human molecule that compromises their potential therapeutic use in human subjects, according to research by investigators at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine and the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California. Why does he still think he can get away with this?

Bugger all. Did you hear about how Robert Redford said he might move to Ireland if Bush was reelected? Yeah. It was so a political trick. Sad though, that he couldn't carry through with it. At least he's trying to be a strong American. Yeah.

On the funny side, I don't watch American Idol, but this is a very interesting summary of the first episode. I would have liked to have seen some of the outfits these people were wearing, but otherwise it's probably even better than watching the show...

Is Sin City supposed to be any good, or is it just filled with actors that seem like they could be good in another comic book movie adaptation?

I thought that Bush was against stem cell research, which is why when California voted forKerry they also voted for a billion dollars to stem cells.

Expect Sin City to be pretty stylized, fairly violent, and hopefully fairly cool. The graphic novel is a landmark in the area, and Frank Miller is very respected and helped direct. It'll be mostly black and white, but the preview has color thrown in for effect. I'm sure I'll go see it, and hopefully actually read the book first :-)
