You Are Opium!

You like to have fun and enjoy life. Reeeeeally enjoy life. If it isn't fast, loud, or extreme forget it. You value friendship and are loyal and will not hesiste to go off if someone crosses you.

What Naughty My Little Pony Are You?

There's a meeting later today, but no one's called on me yet. And I got a (relatively) close parking space, though when you're in a lot two blocks from your building, close is sort of a moot point. There are approximately 845 steps from my car to my building... now if I could just do that there-and-back walk about 9 times, I'd have my 10000 steps for the day and begin to get buff. But we all know how likely that is.

And I really need to get a bike. I want to bike to work, what with gas being freaking $2.20/gal. But then I think, ugh, how sweaty would you be after that ride! I'd have to take a shower here at work, which necessitates bringing crap with oneself so as to not walk around work naked. Yeah. I still want a bike...just don't know how practical riding it to work would be. Ah well. There's always the great all-uphill-to-get-there ride to the grocery store.

Another quiz from [livejournal.com profile] tesseract:

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is 100%. You are not suited for a monogamous relationship.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

Gotta love quizzes like this one. Sometimes they're totally right, other times they are just so wrong. Or they contradict themselves, as above. Kinda like Harry's teacup: "So you're gonna suffer, but you're gonna be happy about it."

So should I preorder HP6 in hardcover even though I hate paying for hardcover, since there will be a party at Left-Bank Books with a goodybag? Better decide soon. Input?

I wish I could use a bike to get to work. But I think I'd die of sunstroke and pollution before I actually get there.

Have you seen the Elizabethtown trailers? :)

heh. Of course I have! He's so cute and...American. I have a really hard time reconciling his american accent with his appearance. He just doesn't look American to me...but he does it well.

I don't know about the sunstroke, but it's in the 90s (maybe 35 deg C?) here and very very humid, so I'd probably die of thirst doing it over here.

Hello Am! The book I am reading right now has a character named Amara, and while not the same, I thought of you.

Work is 3 or 4 miles away. Not a bad stretch, except that there aren't a lot of sidewalks so there would be some significant traffic dodging. But I do have a helmet so Jen's noggin is protected. It's far enough that I would definitely end up drenched in icky eau du sweat, since even walking outside in these lovely humid temperatures makes one drip. Alas. We'll see, I suppose.

Hi. :) Amara reminds me of Buffy's Gem of Amara.

Yeah, that seems like thatd definitely be too much of a hassle. I mean, 4 miles isnt much if you werent working. But since you are...unless your office is nice and lax about appearance?
